Year 10 Students Gain Real-World Insight Through Mock Interviews with Industry Professionals

Emmaus College Jimboomba’s Year 10 students recently took a significant step toward their future careers by participating in mock interviews with local industry professionals. This initiative provided students with a valuable opportunity to experience what real-world interviews are like, helping them build confidence and develop essential communication skills.

Throughout the sessions, students practiced presenting themselves professionally, responding to interview-style questions, and engaging with unfamiliar professionals in a formal setting. The experience not only helped them refine their interpersonal skills but also offered a glimpse into various career pathways and expectations in the workforce.

Feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive. Many shared that the experience helped them better understand the interview process and how to prepare effectively for future opportunities. The event also encouraged students to reflect on their strengths, aspirations, and the importance of first impressions.

Emmaus College extends its sincere thanks to the local professionals who generously volunteered their time and expertise to support the next generation. Their involvement played a crucial role in making this experience both authentic and impactful.

By offering initiatives like these, Emmaus College Jimboomba continues to empower students with the tools and experiences they need to thrive beyond the classroom.
