Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 are invited to participate in an Immersion experience during the June/July or
September school holidays. In conjunction with Mission Australia, students and staff come together to reflect on and learn from other community groups and pass the individual and group stories on to a wider audience.
Past immersion experiences have included – East Timor (2010); Warralong, Western Australia (2011) and Cambodia (2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017).
In term 3, students from Years 6 – 12 are invited to participate in the Vinnies Sleep-out in an effort to raise awareness of homelessness in Australia.
For the Year 6 students who choose to participate in the event, they are invited to make soup for those students who will spend the night in the school Warehouse. They are also invited to listen to guest speakers and participate in a number of activities arranged by the senior students of the College.
Students in Years 7-12 are invited to brave the cold and spend the night in the Warehouse.
All students are encouraged to participate by donating winter clothing and blankets.
